Oakland HS Memorial Park Camping

Oakland High School students and ICO will camp in the redwoods in San Mateo County's Memorial County Park. We will also visit and explore Pescadero Beach and marsh.

Oakland High Adventure Club-Black Diamond Mines

Oakland High School Hiking Club will go on a day hike to Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve for a moderately strenuous hike of about five miles in hilly terrain.  The route offers extensive views.

SF Friends of the Children trip to Angel Island

Friends of the Children and ICO will be taking the ferry to Angel Island from San Francisco then exploriing the island on foot and enjoying a picnic.  FOTC staff and mentors will be joining ICO volunteers on this trip.

College of Marin Day Hike

This trip is for the English language learners of Professor Elizabath Boner.  We will leave the clasroom and walk along Corte Madera Creek on the multi-use path.  We will share info about the watershed, local history, birds, plants, wildlife, weather, and more.
